Jacqui Smith, the UK’s first female Home Secretary, has announced that she’s backing Claire Ward for East Midlands mayor.
Jacqui said: “I’ve worked with Claire in Parliament, government and the NHS. She has the ideas and energy to be a brilliant Mayor for the East Midlands. Good luck Claire!”
