Derbyshire County Councillor Joel Bryan has thrown his support behind Claire Ward to become Labour’s first East Midlands Mayor.
JoeI, who is also the executive member for environment at Erewash Borough Council, said: “Claire has what it takes to bring our two counties together and I know she won’t forget young people and our concerns, and will work closely with Labour councillors to achieve the best for our region.”
One of Claire’s key pledges as mayor would be to create a youth panel to ensure that the views of young people are brought directly to the discussions and decisions taken by the mayor.
