The newly elected Labour leader of Newark & Sherwood District Council, Paul Peacock, has announced he’s backing Claire Ward for Mayor.
Councillor Peacock said: “Claire has my full backing to be the Labour Candidate for the East Midlands Mayor. I know she will fight and win for our region. Claire has the energy, drive and compassion to rejuvenate our communities.”
