Visiting Vaillant UK in Belper

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire is home to more than 80,000 businesses employing more than 930,000 people. Whether they’re small and medium enterprises, or household global brands, they all play a crucial role in making the East Midlands a place people want to invest in.

That’s why it was a real pleasure to visit leading boiler and heat pump manufacturer, Vaillant, HQ in Belper, to see production of its low carbon technology in action and gain a clearer view of how the new mayor and industry can work in partnership to ensure our region can successfully transition to low carbon technologies.

Managing Director Henrik Hansen, as well as their Technologies and Training Director, Mark Wilkins, gave me the tour of their impressive facility and showed me how they’re investing in economical, effective and environmentally friendly heat pump technology. We need environmentally friendly ways to provide heating and hot water not only in new build properties, but also in older, less insulated houses.
